Minnesota wins temporary block of Trump immigration ban

A ruling on a lawsuit brought by Minnesota and Washington state halts President Trump’s executive order banning immigration from seven countries in the Middle East and Africa.

The Saint Paul Pioneer Press:

U.S. District Judge James Robart in Seattle ruled against government lawyers’ claims that the states did not have the standing to challenge Trump’s order and said they showed their case was likely to succeed.
