Gubernatorial candidates start fundraising early

Candidates for the 2018 gubernatorial race didn’t wait for the new year to star raising money. In fact, it was clever of them to do so in 2016; the donation limits reset on the first of the year.

Brian Bakst of Minnesota Public Radio:

St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman leads the pack with more than $190,000. DFL Representative Erin Murphy has about $120,000 in reserve and State Auditor Rebecca Otto has $20,000, which was transferred from her auditor committee.
