Eighteen cats rescued from Rochester house fire

All eighteen of these cats must have lost one of their nine lives. If all the cats started with all their lives, that means all the cats are down to 144 collective cat lives remaining.

Tom Weber of the Rochester Post-Bulletin:

Firefighters rescued 18 cats Saturday night from a house fire in southwest Rochester.

The fire, in the 1700 block of Third Avenue Southwest, was reported at 10:15 p.m. by a resident who said her home was filling up with smoke. Fire and police arrived to find the homeowner outside with her dog. She said up to 18 cats were still in the house.
